Trailsman (Giant): Menagerie of Malice ReviewSkye Fargo comes across a homestead being terrorised by an elephant!Seems the elephant has escaped from a circus run by Thaddeus T. Timbletree. He travels the world putting on shows and collecting wild animals to add to his attractions. In America he wants a grizzly.
Trouble is, rumour has it, he carries with him a fortune in gold.
The outlaws want that and very soon they make a play for it which sees a mankilling tiger on the loose. Throw in some Utes and you have an explosive mix.
A very fast moving story that builds to an exciting climax, a story that displays the tough and also the human side of Fargo. There's plenty of action, a lot of which is quite gory. You'll also find yourself laughing at the books lighter moments, for
instance when Timbletree first appears, the description of him painted a very funny image within my mind.
